Is there an entrance fee for this event?

No, this event is completely free and open to the public.

Can I preregister?

For the 2019 Science Everywhere festival, there is no pre-registration. This event is free and open to the public. Please plan to check-in at the Welcome Centers, upon your arrival on April 13th, to collect your passport and special gift (supplies limited). When you have completed your passport, be sure to return to the Welcome Center to collect a prize (supplies limited).

How do Guilford County high school sophomores, juniors and seniors register?

Many Guilford County high school sophomores, juniors and seniors will receive an email invitation to Science Everywhere. They can register for the event by logging into their SpartanLink account.

How will I know what activities are going on?

There will be several welcome tables where you will be able to pick up a brochure with a list of events. The first 1,000 children to arrive will receive a free t-shirt and the first 1,000 families will receive a complimentary tote bag as well.

How do I earn prizes?

Once you pick up your brochure, be sure to get a stamp next to every activity you attend on the list. Bring your stamped brochure back to the welcome table when you are done to earn prizes.

What age group is this event appropriate for?

All ages! UNCG’s Science Everywhere will have a variety of activities appropriate for all age groups.

What if it rains?

This UNCG’s Science Everywhere will take place rain or shine! In case of rain, the welcome tables will be moved to the Sullivan Lobby, the atrium of the Coleman Building and the School of Education Lobby.


Three parking decks will be open and free for this event: McIver (on McIver Street), Walker (on Walker Avenue) and the Oakland Avenue parking deck (just off of Spring Garden Street). There will also be parking lots available, particularly C lots 7, 8 and 9.

Will there be food at this event?

Food trucks are located on College Avenue near Sullivan Science Building.  Fountain View Dining Hall in Moran Commons provides an all-you-can-eat lunch option until 2 p.m., and select restaurants are open in the Elliott University Center Food Court.

Will there be shuttles?

Yes! There will be shuttles every 15 minutes.
